Did you know that your yard's design impacts your home’s property value?

The  Virginia Cooperative Extension survey results showed that relatively large landscape expenditures significantly increase perceived home value and will result in a higher selling price than homes with a minimal landscape. It could add about 10-15% to the property value, with an estimated average rate of return of 3:1 on the money invested in your garden.

Invest now! Factors that affect the property value the most are landscape design, plant sizes and types. A well-maintained garden increases its value over time with the maturity of the plants.

 Then ask yourself: 

• Do I know where to plant a nice perennial you just saw, is it an appropriate location (soil, sun, water, other plants surrounding it)? 
• How to plant it? what is the frequency of watering, what specific fertilizer will it require? when is the best time to prune? 
• How to prevent or treat it from its most common disease? How to protect it from insects or animals? 
• Do I have time to take care of it?

I am the mother of 9 years twin boys, I have a passion for gardening and take care myself of my veggie garden and our yard. You are welcome to visit!

 I'm a  Master gardener. I received in-depth, hands-on instruction in horticulture including plant biology, propagation, soil science and disease and pest control.

I volunteer at "Rows for the Hungry". This organization's primary objective is to  donate fresh produce to local food banks and provide education.

I am a proud member of the Princeton Charter School (PCS) board of Friends and volunteer at the  PCS Garden Club that educates young students in gardening basics.

I worked previously in consultancy firms, Pharmaceutical industry, financial companies and I served as president of the French Association in Copenhagen.
